EXCAVATOR TRAINING COURSE STRUCTURE
Our Excavator Training Melbourne course includes both practical and theory training. The structure of our course and our small class sizes ensure that students receive maximum time operating the Excavator on our simulated worksite. We have some of the best and most experienced Excavator Training in the business and you will walk away from this course with confidence and the skills necessary to safely operate an excavator.

EXCAVATOR TRAINING MELBOURNE COURSE OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued a Plant Operator Card and the corresponding RII Statement of Attainment.

OUR FACILITIES
Our Earth Moving Training is conducted at our Earthworks Facility located at 7-9 Hayward Road, Ferntree Gully. During your training course you will have access to our simulated worksite and range of plant including Excavator, Skid Steer, Front End Loader, Backhoe and Roller. During your training you will be taught how to operated the relvant machine including including pre-start checks, maneuvering and many other exercises tailored to your ability.

Where do Start Training conduct Excavator Training Melbourne?
We conduct all Earth Moving Training at our Earthworks facility located at 7-9 Hayward Road, Ferntree Gully Road, VIC 3156.
What types of Plant do you have for training?
We have multiple types of plant available for training our students. During this course you will have access to excavators however you also have the option to add extra units such as backhoe, tractor, roller, skid steer and front end loader. We also have various accessories including augers, buckets including quick hitch and trailers to practice loading and unloading. We have a variety of machine brands including Wacker Neuson, JCB and John Deere ensuring that you get maximum exposure to various machines and equipment as possible.
What are the options for lunch and food?
There are a number of shops and takeaways within a short distance of our Ferntree Gully facility including bakeries located at the Mountain Gate shopping centre, Red Rooster, On It Burgers, McDonalds, Subway and KFC. If you are unsure about their locations one of our friendly staff can direct you. McDonalds is the closest food outlet just 1-2 minutes walk from our premise. We also offer free tea, coffee and biscuits for all our students.
What time fo the Excavator classes start?
Generally our classes begin at 8.00am each day Monday through to Saturday. Some of our classes begin slightly earlier at 7.30am, you will be informed of your class start time via a booking confirmation and a confirmation SMS sent to you a few days prior to your class.
Are there any breaks?
Yes, we offer ample breaks throughout the day. An initial break is provided at 9.45am at which time a food van visits our Ferntree Gully location. Lunch and other shorter regular breaks are provided throughout the day.
What do I need to bring with me?
We provide all safety equipment necessary for your course including hi-vis vest and hard-hats where applicable. All you need to bring is a sturdy pair of shoes (no thongs please) and adequate clothing. Please note that during winter months the temperatures can be low, please come with sufficient warm clothing on cold weather days.
Will the training materials be provided to me prior to my class?
Yes, once you have been booked in you will receive an e-mail with all relevant training materials.
I have difficulties with language, literature of numeracy, can I still complete the course?
Yes, we have a dedicated Student Welfare Officer that can assist you with your needs. We have successfully trained thousands of students including those with additional requirements. I had a First Aid and CPR Training, the trainer was professional and perfect in explaining details and brief the assignment instructions. We had lots of practicals assignments especially how to work with AED. The room was clean, and the practical tools were so hygiene. However the location might be a little confusing but you’ll find it. Overall I’m very satisfied with the training at Start Training.

Was informed by the person onsite that the course was not the right one for what I was looking for, organised to get a refund, the refund gets approved and 2 weeks later I still haven't seen the money back in my account. Then I call to ask about when I would expect it, got transferred to the person I'm suppose to speak to and no answer.Expect to be ripped off.

Guys if you are curious, asking yourself if you should or shouldn’t take the course because you don’t know anything. The only thing I’m going to tell you is go for it. I just completed my LF-Forklift course at START Training and i could not be happier! The facilities and equipment are in perfect condition and if that wasn't enough Sergio and Dan made the experience 10times better! They were extremely nice, patient, welcomed any questions me and others had and most of all they focused on us learning everything we needed for this course while having fun and making studying easier!!! If you want to feel welcomed and getting that feeling of stress leaving your body everytime you want to study or do a test while training for something new you should definetely contact these guys they are the best!!!Thanks guys for making this an amazing experience for me!!
